“The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord.” -Psalm 45:11

Maybe someone needs to hear this right now: God is not angry, or annoyed, or disappointed with you. He is forever in love with you, and nothing that you do changes that. Every mistake you’ve done, are doing, and will do has been nailed and dealt with in Jesus’ body at the Cross. Come back to God. He’s been longing for you.

you don’t actually know why

i don’t actually know why either.

somehow those inspirational blog posts and youtube videos that tell you about how beauty is not defined by how you look don’t speak to you as much as everyone else in the comments say it should.

somehow no matter how many people that tell you that you’re beautiful, it just doesn’t feel as satisfying as you imagine it would.

somehow it seems like the reality of yourself and the expectations of yourself are parallel lines that you wish you could just force together but you can’t.

somehow you still think no one has noticed.

somehow some people haven’t noticed, and you wonder if that one person you desperately want and need to notice has, whether it’s just that they’re too polite to bring it up.

somehow you still are holding on. even in all this desperation to find some kind of content, after all this time, you still hope that there is something out there that will fill the gap, not just cover it with lies.

that’s where love comes in.

1 John 4:8

i wonder how you can actually think you’re of that little worth

when on sundays you’ll declare, “i was made in God’s image”

and “i am God’s creation”

because really then

did you just call God’s creations

not good enough?

maybe that’s just me

yet i don’t know how it penetrates so deep into anyone that it is perfectly fine to degrade themselves and then claim sing praises to the Lord of how his creations are so wonderful

including myself
